His Vision for Immanuel
Preparing for the Future

Two years ago, as I was being considered as your future pastor and going through all the interviews and meetings with committees (and as I was interviewing you as well), I was impressed by the vision and faith the church had shown in the past and was expressing for the future.

Sixty-four years ago who could have envisioned the changes that would take place at the corner of McMasters and Pleasant? When the Fellowship Hall was added, who could imagine over a hundred children on a Wednesday night filling the building with a joyful noise and a basketball league touching families for Christ on a Saturday morning?

Many of you, and many others who are with the Lord and have never seen the full impact of their investments, have given their time, talents and finances sacrificially to God to make the ministries of today possible.

We cannot fully grasp what God will do with our investment in the ministry of Immanuel as we plan to reach future generations for the glory of God.

The church history frequently mentioned prayer, faith and a mind to work as keys to Immanuel's growth. May we continue to pray, be faithful and have a mind to work.
